In this Adidas ad they have 5 super star NBA players driving the the basket ball rim. With each step to the rim the player changes to a different star athlete. On the bottom right hand corner it says 6 different pharses each one exemplifying the best attribute the player has, and finally the last pharse sums it all up. And of course on the bottom of the 6 pharses it says the slogan for Adidas "Nothing is Impossible." This ad is intended for young male baseketball players. Iam a big sports guy and i know for a fact that the majority of young basketball players look up to atleast one of these superstars in one way or another. The ad tries to get young ball players to buy adidas by using star power. Adidas knows that these players are very influencial so they want kids to see that these big star use adidas in hopes that it will influence kids to do so as well.

In this adidas commercial there's a black male who wakes up into this dream world like atmosphere where he controls almost everything. The music in this ad helps create the dream world atmosphere because the lyrics are about creating a dream world and the tone of the music is very dreamy and soft. The man wakes up in hes bed in a dark room, but once he puts on the new adidas running shoe he has the power to change his settings. He first starts running on what looks like a big empty city. But once he starts being chased by a truck he jumps down into a pit and into a new setting. Now hes running through a dark forest where he encounters a bear. The bear begins to chase him then he dives through a wall and ends up in a quite neighborhood. Then the man stops and lays on his back and puts his feet in the air creating new ground to run on in thin air through the "power" of his sneakers. He then runs into a fire hydrent and falls through a hole and falls right into his room and goes back to bed. The commercial ends with the words "Impossible is Nothing." In a marketing sense even tho theres only a man in this commercial I feel like it applies to all people. The fact that this man is running through different settings that he creates indicates that anything is possible man, women it doestn matter. I think adidas slogan makes that very clear "Impossible is Nothing." Ideologically I think this commercial wants to show that these adidas sneakers are so coftable and high tech that you could feel like your in another world while your running making your running experience more enjoyable.

I was shocked as much as you will probably be after seeing this ad. I dont think this ad is effective in any way but I thought it was very interesting to see Nike do something as edgey as this. This ad basiclly shows a man (i think his a track star) in a red background naked with his fist raised in the air. The only clothing he has on is a running shoe on what looks like his erect penis as well as a gold medal around his neck. I think this ad is trying to protray the dominance in society with males. Its weird because this ad completly goes against what Nike stands for which is equallity between male and female especailly in athletics.

nike little less hurt commercial

Iam a personal fan of nike as a whole. Nike always seems to pruduce some of the best top of the line sports equiment as well as great messages in its advertisement. This commercial shows some of the worlds best athletes failing or struggling to succeed in their sport perfessional. I think the message in this commercial is that the road to greatness is hard especially when you have to compete with athletes as determined as you.
